Ballantre (Periphery Sourcebook p128), either a region on Nyserta or another name for that world Austerlitz (mapped in the Steiner Handbook - the Star League, and the 1st and 2nd Succession Wars maps), located approximately 55 ly anti-spinward of Canal Asturias: (Explorer Corps), mapped in FR:Periphery Areseppi (Samad Abdul-Muhsi's pilot card) identified as a Correctional Facility on the planet Menkent Aragon: (Explorer Corps), mapped in FR:Periphery Aosia (HB:Liao mapped in the HB:HD), FS world, massive CC attack in 2987 Antwerp: (Explorer Corps), mapped in FR:Periphery (MechWarrior computer game): Map location corresponds with Elidere IV, descriptions match could either be Elidere IV or another inhabited world in the Elidere system (judging by being referred to as "Moon") Alpha C (=Alpha Centauri?) (Mechwarrior 1, p128 20YU p69), earlier name for Rigil Kentarus (aka Rigil Kent) Alexandra (The Clans: WoK p72), third planet in the Tanis system Ålborg, (map in ISP p110 Explorer Corps p99) official but not included among the current canon sources) Italicized = Reference to another unmapped system on this list Underlined = Known world/system, cited for reference Green = Location identified fairly well, but not preciselyīlack = Uncertain if a planet or system of this name even exists (typos, mixups, etc.) The purpose of this project is to list all worlds (systems or individual planets) mentioned within the BT universe that remain elusive on the hitherto published maps, and to collect information on these worlds with hopes to pinpoint their location (in some cases, find them on recently published maps).įor the purpose of this project I consider a world/planet "unmapped, lost or misnamed" if it is mentioned in an official (not necessarily canonical) BattleTech product but shows up on no known map that would allow its jump coordinates to be pinpointed.įormatting of the lists: Planet/system name (Source), known info, referencesīlue = Location mapped/identified, or already known under another name Thus, a search for a given name should immediately jump to its entry in either list. I have separated the intro posting (this one) from the list of found/identified worlds (second post) and the list of still unidentified worlds (third post).įollowing community input, I'll keep the lists updated in the second and third posts.
